Martha Petrona Jimenez participates in the collective exhibition "The Cubans and Her"

Camagüey- The artist Martha Petrona Jimenez Perez takes part in the exhibition "The Cubans and Her", inaugurated on September 8 at the Miranda Gallery, at the sociocultural institution Ejo Project, in the city of Camagüey.

This exhibition "acts as a confluence of different techniques, styles and visual languages (...) Martha Jimenez surprises with a concentrated reformulation of signs: alpha and omega, Juanes and sacred fish, while the Virgin is held in a stylized island", as said Dr. Olga Garcia Yero in her words to the catalog.

The writer adds that "the exhibition "The Cubans and Her" aims to capture for us some of the angles at which the national culture has captured one of its greatest emblems. This purpose, even in the impossibility to cover all the possible images, is fulfilled in the cellular and polyphonic suggestion of this sample of paintings".

Along with Martha Petrona, they took part with their works in this exhibition: Chuli Herrera, Rodrick Dixon, Osmany Soler, Dashiel Hernandez, Maydelina Perez, Clara Femenias, Yolanda Ulloa, Romelio Paez, Gabriel Gutierrez, among other relevant artists.
