Abstract

Sculptural work by Martha Jimenez is referenced by Cuban publication

Havana- The work of the renowned artist Martha Petrona Jimenez Perez has been referenced by the volume “Of the ceramic. Contemporary Cuban Ceramics ”. A detail of the sculpture “Gossipers”, belonging to the sculptural series of the same name and prepared in 1995 by Jimenez Perez, was the piece of the well-known author that was included in the aforementioned publication.


The text was published by Collage Ediciones, in Havana, with the support of the Museum of Cuban Contemporary Ceramics. The direction and curatorship was in charge of Surisday Reyes; the edition, by Silvana Garriga; the graphic design, by Fabian Muñoz; and the photography; by Nestor Marti.


Martha's work has been cited in numerous articles, published in newspapers, magazines and digital media. Such is the case of the Granma newspaper, the Pauta and Opus Habana magazines, Radio Cadena Agramonte, the Adelante newspaper, the Senderos y Excelencias Turisticas magazines, the Trabajadores newspaper, the Amalias Blog, the Signos magazine, the Primicia newspaper, the Principe Cultural Portal, Cuba Now, Cuba Plus Magazine, HostelTur, On Cuba Magazine and the website of the Hermanos Saiz Association.
